| Monday 7th June | Begins 7:30pm | Geelong Field Naturalists' Lecture ‘What's Killing our Trees and Forests?’ Presented by Dr Terry Blake, Professor of Plant Physiology, University of Toronto. A case will be made that environmental stress is weakening trees to the point where they lose vigour and become susceptible to secondary stress factors, particularly insects and disease. The Talk will focus on 3 issues:

| Monday 26th July | 12 noon | Winter Lunch ‘Lecture and Lunch’ The speaker for this years Winter Lunch will be Dr Tim Hubbard, director of Heritage Matters Pty Ltd, consultants in the conservation of historic buildings, gardens, sites and landscapes who are based at Port Fairy in the south-west of Victoria. Dr Hubbard will give an illustrated talk on the social role of the late 19th Century conservatory. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of champagne on arrival. |

| Monday 30th August | 6pm | Annual General Meeting Speaker Mr Scott Kerr, Friend of the RBG Melbourne, will present Guilfoyle's Volcano, a project of great historic significance. Learn about history, water conservation and the projects relevance to the Royal Botanic Gardens in the 21st C. |
