The guides are an active group numbering 10 to 15 who introduce and explain the gardens for visitors. They have the pleasure of meeting with local, interstate and overseas visitors while telling many of the interesting stories about the gardens and it's history.
Trained guides conduct regular walks on Wednesdays at 10:30am and Sundays at 2:30pm, and for group and school bookings, made by arrangement in advance with the Friends Office.
Guide training is ongoing, assisted by the Geelong Botanic Gardens Curator and staff.
Meeting and plant discussions are held on the 3rd Monday morning of each month, supported by additional study sessions and occasional outings.
If you have a desire to learn about the gardens and to help visitors enjoy them, please contact the Friends Office.
